Installing RateCompass in Vilkas Suite and ePages Base Stores

The RateCompass product review service can be easily installed directly from the App Store in your store's admin panel.

Installation and activation of the RateCompass product review service is simple in Vilkas Suite and ePages Base online stores via the store’s backend.

How to Install RateCompass:

Log in to your store’s admin panel, go to Apps and Themes, and click App Store.

You'll find RateCompass among the first listed apps on the page. Click the RateCompass app and then select More Info.

Starting the Installation:

You'll be taken to the app page with more information about RateCompass. To activate it, click Install.

Clicking the Install button takes you to the RateCompass registration page. On this page, you can either create a new account or log in if you already have a RateCompass account. Fill in the required details to proceed to the RateCompass admin panel.

The installation process automatically creates a Compass for your online store in the RateCompass service and preconfigures the settings for you. The Compass contains store-specific settings that define how reviews are requested from customers and how they are displayed in your store. A Compass refers to one review setup per store. Fill in the required details and return to your store’s admin panel. All done!

Post-Installation:

The service is now ready to use, but we recommend reviewing the new Compass settings to ensure they meet your needs.

The service sends a review request to your end customer for each order, according to your Compass settings. Submitted reviews will appear on the product pages in your store after being approved in the RateCompass service.

Define When Orders Are Transferred to RateCompass:

From your Suite or Base store admin panel, you can also define when an order is transferred to RateCompass. By default, orders are transferred to RateCompass when they are marked as paid.

To modify this, go to your store admin panel’s top menu and navigate to Marketing > RateCompass. Choose one of the following options:

  • As soon as the order is created
  • When the order is marked as paid
  • When the order is marked as shipped
  • When the order is marked as delivered

This setting determines when the order is sent to RateCompass. In your Compass settings within RateCompass, you can also define how long to wait before sending the review request.
